It’s back! Another awesome Joe Sinnott Inking Challenge to help raise needed funds for the non-profit Inkwell Awards (on which I serve as a committee member). Each year, the legendary artist (known for adding the cement to the House Of Ideas with his work on FANTASTIC FOUR, AVENGERS and every major title) and namesake of our Hall Of Fame Award, pencils a couple of mighty Marvel characters for others to interpret in ink.
One is a rough sketch (aka a “breakdown”) and the other is a tighter pencil. The tighter one this year was the amazing Spider-Man. We had more participants than ever, from seasoned pros (John Dell, Dan Parsons, Keith Williams, Neil Vokes, et al.) to unknown-but-amazing “amateurs” and everything in between–including Joe’s talented son Mark! Each is inked via either blueline or lightbox, signed by both the inker and Mr. Sinnott, and sold with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
All are being auctioned RIGHT NOW on eBay, ending this Saturday, April 19th. So please share with your friends and get your bids in while you can for an original work of art signed by a comic-book legend! (Next week: Wolverine!)
