Catwoman by Richard Cox

Warm and cool gray copic markers, white ink on 11×14 bristol board, September 2010 – *SOLD*

In the artist’s own words:

From pose, to attitude, to composition, this is a 1930s/40s pinup all the way. Client requested a cute/playful Catwoman with the client’s black cat. The minimal background, also, is intended to be light, airy, and I don’t know, “fluffy” if that makes any sense?

As an interesting side note, my prelim pencil I created for approval had Selina zipped all the way up, as I wanted to play with how light would have worked across the suit full-body.

But the client requested cleavage. Ask and she shall receive. Such is life.
