Hi all,

This is just a quick note to be hopefully later this week, when time allows, be followed by a larger blog entry. In short, Heroes was a great time, and I hung out with or met many of you. Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate it!

I’ll keep adding images of the con sketches I completed over the course of the week, but here’s a run-down of everything I did…

Pirate Babe

Kit Fisto

Rogue, Dark Phoenix, Snowbird, Storm, Psylocke, and Elektra sketch cards

Batgirl

Catwoman

Harley Quinn

Huntress

Zatanna

Kitty Pryde

The Green Knight

Bar Wench

Scarlet Witch

Space Girl (Travis Charest)

…and here’s a look at some of them.

Six PSCs completed for/at Heroes Con 2011 as a part of my con sketch list. left to right, top to bottom: Psylocke, Rogue, Elektra, Storm, Snowbird, Dark Phoenix Probably Storm and Dark Phoenix are may faves. At least this week.

11×14, warm and cool grey copic markers on smooth bristol board. This pirate was actually the first piece I completed for the show. Yarghh!

11×14, warm and cool grey copic markers on smooth bristol board. You can see here I’ve started using a rough, painterly fade on the bottom of the piece. I used this effect a goodly bit on these con sketches. This is also my first Jedi in copic markers, so cool.

11×14, warm and cool grey copic markers on smooth bristol board. I kinda hate that there’s a shadow of my big goofy head here. I think the cape came out especially fun and cool, considering the conditions under which she was created. You can actually kinda see folds and movement in there. Success.

11×14, warm and cool grey copic markers on smooth bristol board. Ah, Zatanna. I think she might have been the most popular piece I did at the show. Well, there was one other, but I’ll upload her another day. I went pretty minimalist on the details here, which seems like was a good idea. Nice and clean, I suppose. Oh, and it was a surprise birthday gift, so, you know. SURPRISE!

I was very busy, and am thankful for it! I also picked up 3 pieces of art, an AH Wonder Woman head sketch, A Darwyn Cooke Wonder Woman watercolor painting, and an Eric Canete watercolor painting. I’ll have pics of all of thse posted later in the week as well on CAF.

Finally, I picked up the below sketchbooks:

Junk & Stuff, both by Skottie Young

Open, by Walt Ostlie

Freefall, by Banky Farano

Sketchbook, by Chrissie Zullo

Chocolate, by Eric Canete (yes, I am obsessed)

Anyway, more later, and thank you again!
